Operation: Hydrate Our Heros – Waltham, MA

Operation Hydrate Our Heroes is a community-driven initiative based out of Waltham dedicated to supporting local first responders and essential workers during long shifts, extreme heat, emergencies, public events, and difficult working conditions.

While primarily focused in the Waltham area, Operation Hydrate Our Heroes is a growing multi-city effort that supports police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, dispatchers, DPW crews, and other frontline workers throughout surrounding communities as needed.

Our mission is simple: provide cold water, hydration drinks, and support to the men and women who work hard every day to keep our communities safe.

We regularly support:

  • Police Officers

  • DPW Crews
  • Other frontline and emergency workers

Especially during hot summer days with temperatures reaching into the 80s and 90s, staying hydrated is critical for those working outdoors for extended periods of time.

How It Started

Operation Hydrate Our Heroes was created out of appreciation and respect for the first responders and frontline workers who dedicate themselves to protecting and serving the community every day. What started as a simple idea to hand out cold water during hot weather quickly grew into a larger community-supported effort focused on giving back and showing support to those working long and difficult shifts.

Community Support & Donations

Operation Hydrate Our Heroes operates entirely through community support, donations, and volunteers. We depend heavily on the generosity of local residents, businesses, organizations, and supporters to help keep the mission running throughout the year.

Donations help provide:

  • Bottled water
  • Hydration and electrolyte drinks
  • Snacks for first responders
  • Coolers and supply storage
  • Transportation and operational costs
  • Supplies during heat waves and emergency situations

Every donation goes directly back into supporting local first responders and helping operations continue during summer heat advisories and emergency situations.
